"One thing that has impressed me here is that the targets are straight, very well presented and you can see that from the scores" - Kevin Gill, ISSF World Cup Shotgun 2019, Al Ain

"Very very pleased, especially for Kirsty" - Kevin Gill

"You know [Kirsty] has been shooting very very well for the last nine months, European Silver, World Championships Bronze in the mixed pairs. She's shot a Bronze medal in Mexico as well and now it's finished off with a Silver medal here and that quota place which is the really important one!" - Kevin Gill

Kirsty Barr, Team GB

Kirsty Barr won Silver and a Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games quota place for Team GB at the ISSF Al Ain Shotgun World Cup. The shooter from Northern Ireland shot fantastically as she took on some of the World’s best in Women’s Trap. Kirsty showed courage and determination to reach the final after a nail-biting three-way shoot-off in which each had a qualification score of 120 ex 125.
It was France’s Carole Cormenier who eventually won gold with a score of 44 ex 50 but that won’t matter to Kirsty who was absolutely delighted with her 41 and that all-important quota place.
